The Noise: Mobile Application

Following the Unlimited Theatre community lab for their latest production, The Noise, it’s great news that the finished mobile application has not only been a starting point for interactive engage for The Noise performance, but also will form a template for future performances by theatre companies. The mobile application was launched in November at the Radar Festival, London.

Unlimited Digital Storytelling Workshop 2: Exploration

The second part to the Unlimited Digital Storytelling adventure was a relaxed affair. Don’t let that fool you though, there was lots going on to explore the possibilities of bringing the world of theatre into a digital experience.

Sowing A Quilt

The Patchwork Quilt

The timeless patchwork quilt is one of those crafts that, when complete, looks a lot simpler to do than it actually is! I’ve been looking into it’s history and the different design types to make one of my own.

Stir in lots of love

Feature: What does creative look like?

Creative is a word used over and over again, normally to describe a new visual concept, but what does it really mean to be creative? History is a great place to start and with a love for words and typography, I’ll use written communication as an illustration.

Digital storytelling adventures

Digital storytelling combine with the word adventures, gets me excited. Unlimited are looking to put together a Community Lab to test and co-design new storytelling experiences using the latest innovations & technology, including mobile devices and tablets.

I Love Typography

I can’t recommend the I Love Typography blog enough. As a designer its so refreshing, so go and check it out! Founder John Boardley says it so well when he quotes:

I can’t explain it; I just like looking at type. I just get a total kick out of it. Other people look at bottles of wine or whatever, or, you know, girls’ bottoms. I just get kicks out of looking at type. It’s a little worrying, I must admit.

Welcome

Hello! Welcome to theramsden online magazine where you can find everything creative & digital – exciting news, upcoming events, and the latest tips.

Previously the Regional Editor for Creative Boom, now part of The Guardian’s Culture Professionals Network,  I’ve had a glimpse of the exciting creative & digital work being produced everyday. At theramsden we would hate for it to go unnoticed, and although its early days, we already have lots of exciting plans for our own contribution that’s getting the word out…
